Yes, I've been cheating on my blog with Facebook. It is so fun to find long lost friends, learn what they have been up to, see pictures of their families AND actually get together with some of them. I have really wonderful friends!
Recent happenings sparked by Facebook:
**Lunch with former neighbors, Michele and Briella.
**Playdate/dinner with my coworker Joanne and her kiddos. (Oliver tagged along and nearly ripped his head off getting out of his collar/leash to chase squirrels at the park.)
**Dinner with lifelong friends, the Houtings.
Regretfully, my camera has been tucked away in the cupboard as my iPhone (with the Facebook application) has replaced it as my gadget of choice. My iPhone pix usually end up on Facebook. But this online journal is truly my priority as it is about Miss Ava and the humble little events that occupy this branch of the King family tree. To that end, my camera is out and being charged!

Sticky Situation
Do you see it?
GUM!
"Beware the Ides of March."
I actually said it out loud in bed this morning.
Soon after, Ava's gum fell out of her mouth when I was tickling her and POOF - vanished! Of course it turned up in a tangle in her hair about 15 minutes later.
So, gum in a little girl's hair being a milestone, I got out the camera. Ava was very remorseful, but I assured her it was no big deal. Then she reminded me about the time I cut the gum out of her hair. I had forgotten about the real first time she got gum in her hair. No wonder she thought I was going to freak out! That time we were headed into a store and we went straight to the school supply aisle, I opened a package of kid scissors and snipped it out. Bah! We were both cranky about that.
Hopefully this morning's incident is the sum total of our troubles on the Ides of March '09.

A Little Ham...A Little Cheese...
Miss King has been out of school for President's Week for the past five days. Today we went here and there and kept each other company.
She is a lot of fun...
She rode bucks and bugs...
Giggled...
Glanced...
Gobbled...
And glammed it up...
She wasn't sure where to apply
her new lux lilac eyeshadow.
"Under the fuzzy part?"
Translation: Under my eyebrows?
I warned her the makeup would
be taken away if she was naughty.
She promised to be good for the rest of her life...
