SHE MADE HER LIST...SHE CHECKED IT 2x...

earrings... jewelry... trampoline... brother... baby doll... microphone... doctor kit... curtain (Oliver ripped hers)... 1012 books...
DSi... guinea pig... 3 dogs... 2 cats... laptop... rat... Tinkerbell... 20 fish... game... TV... 100 Pet Shop (toys)...
She realized she left SISTER and PIANO off the list, so she shimmied them in...
When reminded that sisters and brothers take a long time to grow in a belly, she said, "Uh, HE'S SANTA! I need a brother and sister to be my friends so we can play..."

WRITING - JUST BECAUSE SHE CAN

Miss King entertained herself on Thanksgiving morning by writing a few stories...
-I Wish I Was A Bird-
I can fly like a bird.
If I can fly like a bird,
I can zoom as a bird.
It would be fun as a bird
flying across the air.
-Cat's Hat-
Cat's hat was a very fat hat.
The other cats weren't wearing fur,
but one day there was a cat
wearing the same kind of hat!!!!!!...

She said there wasn't room for a picutre
because the exclamation points took up
all of the room on the page.

She puts a smile in my heart!

SO...WHAT?

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
~ Jeremiah 29:11

SO when we do suffer harm,
WHAT are we to make of this promise?

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
~1 Peter 1:6-7

ITS BEGINING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS...

In the stores, that is...
Anyone a fan of Christmas decorations on the shelves on or before October 31st?
ITS HALLOWEEN, for Pete's sake!

On the 30th, Troy and Jessica attended the Halloween party in Ava's class.

The students played the memory game with Ed Emberly picture cards...

Made paper bag jack-o-lanterns...

And mosaic pumpkins...

Black Snacks were on the menu at the snack table...

* Peanut butter and blackberry goo (fruit spread) sandwiches
* Ogre earwax (cheddar cheese cubes) with bat brains (black grapes)
* Blackbird eggs (black olives)
* Magic wands (pretzel rods with vanilla icing and sprinkles)

Good Stuff!

After school, Jessica took a nap while Troy and Ava worked on their pumpkin art...

On the 31st, there was trick-or-treating with the cousins
along with a celebration for Nonnie's birthday...

Ava was a Monarch butterfly...

Zane was Superman...

Isaac was a train engineer...

Lilyana was a bee...

Nonnie and her little cuties...

The Main Event...

Auntie Sarah made a delicious pudding dessert for Nonnie's birthday...

Nonnie was serenaded with the birthday song...

So many treats!

Papa's grandbabies just can't NOT harass him...

Nobody wants to part with their Nonnie at the end of the night...

The inevitable sugar C-R-A-S-H...

UNTIL NEXT YEAR...
HAPPY HALLOWEEN (AND MERRY CHRISTMAS) !
